- The Alpha 1, at its heart, is characterized by a newly developed 50.1MP full-frame Exmor RS BSI CMOS sensor and the BIONZ XR processing engine. This efficient combination of the stacked sensor design and optimized processing allows the a1 to achieve 30 fps continuous shooting at full-resolution. It also enables 8K 30p and 4K 120p 10-bit video recording. Furthermore, it provides a versatile sensitivity up to ISO 102400, making it suitable for low-light shooting.
- The a1, while maintaining a familiar physical form, boasts the finest technology from the Alpha series, along with some significant enhancements. It features a 9.44m-dot OLED EVF, which offers a 240 fps refresh rate, ensuring smooth motion depiction and significantly reduced blackout during continuous shooting. The camera’s shutter design has been updated, now providing flash sync speeds of up to 1/400 sec. when using the silent electronic shutter, flash sync is supported up to 1/200 sec.
